Not medical advice

Dalo is a general fitness and nutrition tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional or physiotherapy advice, diagnosis or treatment. Calorie and macro values from photos are estimates and can be wrong. Plans, readiness scores and suggestions are general guidance based on what you tell us.

Talk to a doctor before starting a new diet or exercise programme, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, an injury, or a history of disordered eating. Stop exercising and seek help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. You train at your own risk and are responsible for using equipment safely and for choosing loads within your ability.

Who can use Dalo

You must be at least 16 years old. You must use Dalo only for your own personal, non-commercial use and in line with these terms and the law.

Your account

Dalo starts with a guest account. Guest data is tied to the app on your device: if you delete the app or lose your phone without signing in with Apple, you may not be able to get it back. Signing in with Apple keeps your data available on your devices. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account.

Subscription and payment

• After the setup questions, Dalo requires a Dalo Pro subscription. We offer a yearly plan ($59.99 per year) and a monthly plan ($12.99 per month), in US dollars; the App Store shows the price for your country, including any taxes, before you buy. There is no free trial.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your Dalo account does not cancel the subscription.
• Purchases are processed by Apple under the App Store's terms. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot issue refunds ourselves.
• If we change prices, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before a renewal at the new price.
• Photo analysis is subject to a fair-use limit (currently 50 photos a day) to keep the service available for everyone.

Because the app starts being provided as soon as you confirm the purchase, you agree that the 14-day EU right of withdrawal ends once the service has started, to the extent the law allows; refunds remain available through Apple.

Your content

Your photos, logs and other content remain yours. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display them only to provide Dalo to you, including sending meal photos to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Only upload photos you have the right to use, and don't upload photos of other people without their permission.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Dalo: no reverse engineering except where the law allows it, no attempts to access other people's data or our systems, no automated or bulk use of the photo analysis, no reselling, and nothing unlawful or harmful.

Our app

Dalo, its design, the Dalo name and mark, the exercise content and the software belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules. We may change, add or remove features; if a change materially reduces what you paid for, you can cancel and ask Apple for a refund.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Dalo or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims). If Dalo fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, Dalo is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates, plans or results will be accurate or achieve any particular outcome.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Dalo in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Dalo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, with notice where reasonable.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring claims in your local courts. Please contact us first — most problems are solved by an email.
